DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF OPERATIONS

Amanda wu

Amanda Wu (she/her) is a rising junior at Yale from Bellevue, WA. She is beyond excited to be returning to YMUN Korea as Director-General of Operations, after serving as USG of Delegations last year alongside Lauren. Amanda is a neuroscience major interested in the intersection between computation and cognition. She is also pursuing certificates in Programming and Global Health Studies. Outside of class, Amanda plays viola in the Yale Symphony Orchestra, runs with Yale Club Running, and volunteers in the pediatrics department of the Yale New Haven Hospital. She has also previously served on the secretariat of YMUN LII and YMUN China. Amanda can't wait to meet all the fantastic delegates in Seoul! lauren kim

Lauren Kim (she/her) is a rising junior in Silliman College from Michigan, and she is double majoring in Statistics and Global Affairs. Lauren has been MUN all throughout high school and has now been on 6 YMUN Secretariats during her time at Yale, helping run conferences on Yale campus and in Korea, Singapore, and China. Outside of YMUN, Lauren dances for Yale Movement and serves up the best late-night foods in the Silliman Buttery. For fun Lauren loves spending time at the pottery studio, crocheting, going on walks to new cafés, and eating good food with friends. She also loves being active (pickleball, golf, ski, pilates, swim, etc.)! She is honored to serve as Secretary General for Korea and is very excited to meet all the delegates in November. Annie gu

Annie (she/her) is a rising senior in Pauli Murray College from New Jersey majoring in Applied Mathematics and Political Science. She is honored to be serving as Director-General of Committees for this iteration of YMUN Korea! Model United Nations has a been a strong passion of hers for the past seven years, competing, chairing, and organizing conferences. On campus she can be found doing research with the Economics Department, doing computer science outreach with Code Haven, or taking photos! In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants on Beli, weightlifting, and traveling. She cannot wait to meet everyone in Seoul! UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF BRANDING

Jack carney

Jack Carney (he/him) is a rising junior from Upstate New York, studying Computer Science and Economics at Yale University. He previously served as USG Branding for YMUNE and is thrilled to return as the USG of Branding for YMUNK XIV. Outside of YMUNK, Jack volunteers at the HAVEN Free Clinic in the IT Department, serves as an advising fellow with Matriculate, and is part of Design for America at Yale, where he works on community-centered design projects. He’s passionate about using technology and design to make information more accessible and meaningful. In his free time, Jack enjoys photography, exploring new cities, and swimming. Hannah yang

Hannah Yang (she/her) is a rising sophomore in Silliman College, originally from Queens, New York, majoring in Global Affairs with a Certificate in Energy Studies. At Yale, she is the editor-in-chief of the Yale Globalist and a member of the Yale Foreign Policy Initiative’s project through the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) Asia Program under Dr. Sheila Smith. Outside of YMUNK, you can usually find her baking cookies or going on a slow run around campus.

Hannah is incredibly excited to join YMUNK this year as the under-secretary-general of domestic delegations after designing merch and managing the social media for YMUNT XII as their under-secretary-general of branding. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions at delegations@ymunkorea.org.

Nathan kwon

Nathan Kwon (he/him) is a rising junior in Branford College double majoring in Architecture and Economics. He is elated to be serving as a co-USG of Logistics, bringing the 14th iteration of YMUNK to life this November! On campus, you can find him sketching section models on the 7th floor of the Architecture school, playing squash in the basement of Branford, or jogging in East Rock Park. Nathan is very passionate about food, and he spends many hours working at the Branford Buttery and trying different restaurants around campus. Jana Abualhuda

Jana (she/her) is a rising sophomore in Saybrook College from Chicago, Illinois. She’s excited to serve as USG of Committees for YMUN Korea! Within the YMUN circuit, Jana previously served as a Director for YMUN Singapore and is currently the USG of External Affairs for YMUN LIII, as well as Secretary for the Yale International Relations Association. Outside of MUN, she works as a Peer Liaison for the Middle Eastern and North African Cultural Center and dances with Yale Dabke. In her free time, you can find her café hopping around New Haven (current obsession is banana bread matcha) or having movie nights with fellow Secretariat members Andy and Lauren. andy lam

Andy (he/him) is a rising senior in Silliman College from New Jersey majoring in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry with a concentration in Structural Biology. He’s honored to bring the visual identity of YMUNK to life as one of this year's USGs of Branding! On campus, you can find him researching cardiovascular diseases at the Yale School of Medicine, rehearsing with Yale’s only K-pop dance team Movement, playing the cello with the Davenport Pops Orchestra, or whipping up milkshakes as manager for the Silliman buttery. When he's not juggling all these commitments, Andy enjoys drawing outdoors, playing the guitar, cooking, and learning how to make new balloon animals for his friends. Bena Feng

Bena (she/her) is a rising sophomore in Silliman College majoring in Global Affairs from sunny Southern California. Outside YMUN Korea, she hosts events with the Chinese Program and plays the carillon in Harkness Tower! In her free time, you can find her climbing long staircases, appreciating campus nature spots, and hopping between language tables during meals. Bena has had the opportunity to be involved in YMUN on Yale's campus and in Singapore, and she’s thrilled to be serving as the USG of International Delegations for YMUN Korea! James kim

James (he/him) is a rising junior in Timothy Dwight College originally from Dallas, Texas, studying Economics and Data Science. Now in his second year with YMUNK, he is returning as the Undersecretary General of Logistics. At Yale, James organizes events for his residential college, leads backpacking trips for first year orientation students, and works as an editorial intern at the Yale Law Journal. Outside of the classroom, you can find him strumming his guitar, reading a good book, or exploring new restaurants across the East Coast. Jack Ludwick

Jack (he/him) is a rising junior in Grace Hopper College from Charlotte, North Carolina majoring in Global Affairs and Religious Studies. Jack is very involved in the YMUN world, serving on YMUN LI, YMUN Korea, YMUN LII, YMUN Singapore, YMUN LIII and now he is back again for YMUNK XIV! He is also involved in the Yale International Relations Association as the Alumni Director. On campus, Jack is involved in the Sophomore Class Council, a member of the Yale Curling Team, and the Chair for St. Thomas More, the Catholic center on campus. In his free time, Jack enjoys watching college football, playing guitar, and going on hikes. Jack is a huge country music fan and his favorite artists are Luke Combs, Tyler Childers, and Evan Honer. Joseph Or

Joseph (he/him) is a rising sophomore in Pauli Murray College from Southern California majoring in Environmental Studies and Political Science. On campus, he is a Research Assistant at Yale’s Planetary Solutions Lab and is involved with Global Strategy Consulting, the Renewable Future Alliance, and Design for America. He also works as a Communications & Events Assistant at the Jackson School of Global Affairs and dances with Danceworks. In his free time, Joseph enjoys long-distance running, obstacle courses, rating restaurants and cafés on Beli (top 0.2% diner…), and taking weekend trips to NYC. He has been involved in Model United Nations since his freshman year of high school and also serves as a Director for YMUN China, so he is beyond excited to meet everyone in November! Eniola Ajanaku

Eni (she/her) is a rising sophomore in Pauli Murray College from Dallas, Texas, double majoring in Political Science & Psychology, while also pursuing the Advanced Korean Language certificate. Within those fields, her interests center on neocolonialism and the wielding of soft power in an increasingly interconnected world. Previously, she served as a Vice Chair for YMUN LII and is thrilled to bring that experience to YMUN Korea as a Director! On campus, she is a showcase producer and dancer with Yale's K-pop dance team MOVEMENT, an analyst at Elmseed Consulting, and publicity head for Yale Women in Economics. Outside the classroom, she's a lover of zombie movies, poetry, photography, and cafe-hopping. She looks forward to meeting everyone in November and hopefully getting to practice her Korean skills! Jenney Huang

Jenney (she/her) is a rising sophomore in Branford College from New York City planning to study Economics and Data Science. This is her first experience with Model UN, and she is so honored and overjoyed to join YMUN Korea as one of our amazing directors. At Yale, Jenney works with the Dwight Hall Socially Responsible Investment Fund, practices with Club Squash, and performs with Danceworks. In her free time, she loves to create clothes for her stuffed animals, explore frozen yogurt shops, and design intricate, maximalist press-on nails. Emily Seo

Emily (she/her) is a rising sophomore in Jonathan Edwards College from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is planning on double majoring in Cognitive Science and Economics with a concentration in Korean. She is excited to be joining YMUNK for the first time as a Director, and cannot wait to meet everyone at the conference! Outside of YMUNK, Emily manages social media for the Yale Daily News, hosts monthly pop-ups with Asian Recipes at Yale, and works at the front desk of Payne Whitney Gymnasium. In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, planning itineraries for her upcoming trips, and discovering new food spots with friends.
