Logic Puzzles
Step away from resolutions and into the world of riddles, logic games, and brain teasers that will stretch your thinking in unexpected ways. This workshop is your chance to challenge yourself, collaborate with fellow delegates, and tap into the same critical thinking and problem-solving skills that drive successful diplomacy. Come ready to think, laugh, and maybe even outsmart your peers—because international crises aren’t the only puzzles worth solving.
Thought Experiments
Dive into the mysteries of the mind in this engaging philosophy workshop exploring the “hard problem of consciousness.” Through three iconic thought experiments—Nagel’s Bat, Mary’s Room, and the Chinese Room—you’ll grapple with the limits of science, the uniqueness of subjective experience, and whether machines can ever truly think. Come with a curious mind and leave with a deeper understanding of what it means to be human.
The Art of Persuasion
Model UN equips students with collaboration and public speaking skills, but often leaves one crucial element to chance: persuasion. In this interactive workshop, participants will gain practical tools to become more persuasive speakers, both in committee and beyond. Whether you're lobbying for votes in a resolution or pitching a bold idea, this workshop will give you the tools to do it persuasively and the confidence to make it count.
In the How Well Do You Know Korea? workshop, delegates will have an exciting time competing against each other while testing their knowledge of Korean history. The workshop will mainly feature a jeopardy that includes various facts about Korean politics, current events, pop culture, and traditions. Delegates will compete in teams, with the winning team receiving a special prize at the end!
